The Trial Lesson is the first lesson in helicopter flight training and is conducted in the Cabri G2 to the same standard and structure as all subsequent training flights toward a pilot licence, with the option of being 30 minutes or 60 minutes.

Beginning with a comprehensive pre-flight briefing delivered by a qualified instructor, with the appropriate lesson presentation available to students prior to the flight date through HeliTrax. This flight will undergo the basics in piloting a helicopter, in order to build the crucial foundations required to be confident in your ability to aviate.

During the flight, you will take control of the helicopter under the close supervision of your instructor, gaining hands-on experience of helicopter handling and control. This time can be logged and start counting towards the pilot licence exam (PPL(H)), even from the first flight.

No previous flying experience is required. The Trial Lesson is designed to provide a genuine and meaningful introduction to helicopter pilot training, making it the ideal first step for anyone considering progression toward a helicopter pilot licence.
